A special New Generations series exploring social change and activism in Israel

SESSIONS:
Session 1 (July 8): Beyond Sunday School - A Textured View of Israel’s History This session will be an introduction to social change in Israel. We will explore facts and figures and touch on key events that helped shape the development of Israel’s nonprofit sector.
Sessions 2 & 3 (July 22 & August 5): In Their Own Words - Progressive Israeli Activists Speak Out These sessions will delve into two specific issue areas: migrant workers in Israel and fighting racism on the soccer field. We will hear directly from the individuals affected via televised Israeli interview programs and continue with a post-show discussion after each.
Session 4 (August 19): Taking Action for Social Change in Israel Our final session will feature Israeli human rights activists who have worked with cutting edge organizations, including Machsom Watch and HaMoked (two organizations working on human rights issues in the territories). We will hear about their experiences and discuss the possibilities to effect change.
